Georgina Lamperd
Georgina Lamperd is a low-impact illustrator and papermaker artist, always searching for sustainable ways to create artworks.
All illustrations are handmade, inspired by the natural world, her ink on paper works delves into the structures found in nature. Georgina engages the viewer to slow down, be present and take their time to focus on the small details.
A former Melbourne artist now living and working on the Gold Coast, Georgina has exhibited in several group shows and solo exhibitions at Mint Art House, Gold Coast 2022, and Neon Parlour, Melbourne 2017.
After graduating from RMIT with a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) in 2016, Georgina explores the origins of paper and the relationship between artist and mark through the medium of ink on paper and plywood.
Resident at local art space and studio Mint Art House in Burleigh Heads, she continues her paper making and illustration practice.
Nature, pattern, form, slowness, and sustainability inspire her art practice to create a softer footprint on the environment.
